This button-press allows the radio-user to activate or deactivate Bluetooth Inquiry mode. When
activated, the radio sends out inquiry requests in search of all Bluetooth
devices within its range (called "access points"). 
Provided
Inquiry mode is not radio-user deactivated, it remains activated for the
duration specified in the Bluetooth
Device Search Duration field. This feature is available while operating
in Conventional
or Trunking
communications mode.

For radios with no front display only (model 1.5 and APX™ 3000), pressing and holding this button-press for more than 3 seconds allows the radio-user to activate "discoverable" mode, which is then deactivated once the button is released. |
